Perfect Travel Dream Job

I've obtained my dream job! So, I can't tell you what it is, but I can tell you it's awesome (I know, I know sounds very Legally Blond!). Anyway, I spent the past few weeks in LA and Las Vegas and Boston as mentioned in my last post. I don't have any pics of LA or Boston, yet, but I do have a few nice pictures of beautiful Las Vegas.

For many people, it's hard to believe that I've been around the world, to six continents, over 40 countries, but have never been to Vegas until I was 25 years old. But like I tell everyone, it just wasn't on the top of my priorities list. My idea of what Vegas would be like-old, whithered, burnt out cocktail waitresses and depressed and obsessed gamblers, hundreds of Elvis impersonators walking around the streets, and tons of "ladies of the night" on street corners or at the craps tables with their clients.

Some of my preconceived notions about Vegas were correct, but mostly I found a very lively, interesting, and exciting town. So much to do and see. As I heard people say many times, Vegas is the Disneyland for grown-ups. I agree. It's definitely a fantasy land. I'm back in Houston now and back to reality. Thank goodness I came home when I did, those penny slots at Ceasars almost convinced me to cash out my 401(k)!

Next post will be about how much I love LA!

It sounds like you have visited some very memorable places. Why so many countries? Did you sense you were wandering aimlessly or were you on a quest for a particular purpose? I think readers would look forward to hearing more about what you have learned through travel.
