I gasped out loud this morning when I went to the New York Times website and learned of Benazir Bhutto's assassination. Five years ago I was fortunate enough to hear Bhutto give a speech for the Center for Building Community at my university, Abilene Christian. Since then I've been a supporter and follower of her life, but sadly today that ended. Benazir Bhutto was a beautiful and courageous woman. I hope that the good fight for progress, social justice and democracy that she fought for her entire life will be upheld and honored in her legacy.
